FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT Zara means princess in Gypsy. Since discovering Belly Dance in 2001, Zara has become a teacher, performer, and choreographer. She teaches classes on Wednesdays at Gold's Gym in College Station, and through the City of College Station's Extra Education program. Besides dancing, she is a third year DVM student in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. Jannah NOT PICTURED
TREASURER Basina has been dancing other genres of dance for 8 years and took up belly dancing a year ago. She finds belly dance to be very unique & uplifting form of dance. Besides dancing and performing she is a fourth year DVM student in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University.  
 
SECRETARY Kalila began belly dancing in 1997. She studied with Isis and the Star Dancers in Dallas prior to joining the troupe in January of 2005.
PUBLIC RELATIONS CHAIR Lami'ah means "shine" in Egyptian. She has been dancing with the BVBA since January 2005, and she took classes at the Rec Center for a year prior to that. Bellydancing has dramatically improved her confidence level, as well as providing a much-needed stress release. Lami'ah is a fourth-year DVM student at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, and she plans to continue bellydancing for many years to come.
Jalilah began belly dancing a year ago and has been captivated by this sensual and passionate form of dance since. Born in El Salvador, she now attends Texas A&M University.
Tovah
Inaya discovered belly dance 2 years ago and has been with the troupe since. The Animal Science major cofounded TAMU Belly Dance Association. Upon graduation in 2006, she plans to work with Great White Sharks |
